OpenMugen is a free open source application that allows you to create your own 2D fighting game. It is an improved, amplified and an open code version of the old Mugen format that comes with a lot of new possibilities. It provides the opportunity for you create and modify your own characters, character movements, scenarios, hits, routines and many other aspects of the game. It is a very simple program that will require very little knowledge and experience in programming. It can also however serve as a learning tool if you don’t have reliable programming skills. OpenMugen supports the Mugen format, works with XML files and has multiplatform support.
