ActiveX Compatibility Manager is a compatibility manager that allows you to easily disable/enable ActiveX components on Internet Explorer browser. It works directly on every ActiveX installed in your system that are recommended to be deactivated to avoid exploitation of several vulnerabilities of the Microsoft browser, considering this as a temporary solution till the creation of the final correction patch.
ActiveX Compatibility Manager does not require any installation process or additional DLLs because it is a standalone executable. It is very easy to use, just copy the executable file (acm.exe) to any folder you like, and run it. Then the window of acm will display the list of all ActiveX components that are currently available for enabling or disabling. It also displays additional information for components that are currently installed on your computer such as: product name, company name, description, version, filename, and more.
